Imaging Services

Texas Orthopedics is fully equipped with state-of-the-art onsite imaging equipment to help our doctors diagnose and treat muscle, nerve, bone, tendon, and ligament injuries and conditions. By providing onsite imaging, our orthopedic surgeons and physical medicine and rehabilitation specialists can diagnose patients with urgent needs fast or offer patients with less urgent needs conveniently located imaging services under one roof. Our onsite diagnostic imaging assessments include:
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is an outpatient imaging procedure that produces very detailed views of internal structures, including soft tissues. MRI helps doctors check for abnormalities and diagnose injuries and conditions. MRI is a painless procedure that simply requires that patients remain still while the images are taken. MRI services are available at our Northwest Austin, South Austin and Cedar Park locations. All three of our MRI facilities are nationally accredited by the American College of Radiology. Learn more about MRI.
Bone Density Testing (DEXA)
Bone density testing is an imaging evaluation used to help diagnose osteoporosis and assess bone integrity after the use of certain medications or in relation to some medical conditions. Bone density testing is a short painless outpatient imaging procedure. Bone density testing is available at our Northwest Austin location.
X-Ray
X-Rays create images of internal body structures to help diagnose orthopedic conditions, such as a broken bone, and plan treatments, such as setting a broken bone. X-rays are extremely quick outpatient procedures. X-rays are available at all six of our locations. Learn more about X-rays.
